Understand how to keep children safe with this Qualifi accredited Level 2 Introduction to Child Protection qualification. This online course will give you extra reassurance that you're providing high-quality safeguarding measures and meeting all EYFS requirements.

  • Recognising the signs of abuse and what to do next
  • Types of child abuse
  • Emotional and sexual abuse and neglect
  • How to report concerns
  • The Prevent Duty.

As an accredited course, your certificate could be accepted more widely if you are studying an early years Level 2 qualification.* There is a final assessment in the form of an interactive test requiring an 80% pass mark to achieve accreditation. If you fail to achieve this mark you can revisit the training and retake the assessment with further randomised questions based on the whole course content.

* If you are unsure if this course can contribute to your level 2 Children and Young People or level 3 Early Years Educator qualifications, check with their learning provider.

Please note - This course is no longer suitable for Wales due to the update, 14 November 2022 to the national safeguarding training, learning and development standards.

This course has been designed specifically for early years practitioners working in early years settings. It will give practitioners a range of strategies and ideas on how to develop and support online safety with children, staff and parents with an in-depth audit to help develop and improve practice in this area.

  • Identified good practice in online safety in order to complete an audit of integral online safeguarding practices

  • Selected and implement appropriate safety strategies to minimise the online risks to children.

The Counter Terrorism and Security Act came into force on the 1st July 2015. One of its provisions was to place a duty on organisations, including Early Years Settings and Schools to prevent people from being drawn into terrorism. This duty is known as the 'Prevent Duty'.
